'(Away from it all) here, there and everywhere'
Lawrence Weiner
Retreat invokes more than escape : we retreat to contemplate, reflect and create, to harness the creativity and focus we sometimes lack.
My loft proposes a 21st century " machine for living ", concealing what isn‘ t immediately necessary, eliminating visual distractions and quadrupling its spatial effectiveness.

Sometimes we open our eyes to see the world.
Sometimes we close our eyes to dream the world.
'A thought in light braille of light, as debris of stars, thrown on blind volumes.
Architecture that dances in lightness, in weightlessness.
Architecture that tries to escape from a heavy world.'

Passing time leaves traces on a white surface. White is therefore in no way neutral or anonymous.'

'Once, work was serious. Play was the very opposite. You worked or played, were occupied or idle.
All that changed now. Fun and fresh air are introduced into the workplace, and, conversely, playtime has become a very serious matter indeed.'

'Without this ridiculous VANITY that takes the form of self-display, and is part of everything and everyone, we would see nothing, and nothing would exist.'

Consumption became the killer of all values.
We must dream again, read again, think again, even in a store.

Living among the trees.
The house is designed to be filled with sunlight.
The trees’ leaves protect the house from direct sunlight in the summer, the bare branches allow sunshine to warm the house in the winter.
Above all, the trees enhance the quality of the environment inside the house and create a close relationship between people and nature.
